Lincoln City Visitors Guide

Lincoln City offers a plethora of fun in the sun. There are plenty of beach areas for swimming and beachcombing or from mid fall to early spring you can watch the migrating whale along its coastline. You will find meandering trails, coves and fields where you can enjoy bird watching, and see breath taking views.

Often called the “kite capital of the world”, Lincoln City was named by Kitelines Magazine as one the best places to fly kites in North America. Consequently, its perfect patterns (due to its location on the 45th parallel) ensure that even the novices will have a truly awe inspiring kite flying experience. While in Lincoln City, you can participate in Kite Festivals, take kite building workshops, and even kite flying lessons.

Lincoln City Parks & Gardens

Devils Lake State Park - At this 109 acre park you can enjoy a variety of water sports, a state of the art children’s playground as well as camping and picnicking.

Depoe Bay Park - A 3 acre park with an observation building where you can see the bay, spouting horn, and fishing fleets.

Fogarty Creek State Park - A beautiful beach park that offers swimming, fishing, hiking and picnicking

The Connie Hansen Garden - Started by botanist Constance P. Hansen in this garden is one of the most exquisite in the state. The garden is a sprawling collection of over 300 rhododendrons, azaleas, Japanese and Siberian iris, geraniums, primroses and many varieties of perennials. As you can tour the gardens you will see her numerous hybrid creations, along with magnolias, and styrax japonhica trees.

Theatre West -Here you can watch comedy and drama productions performed by community theatre troops.

Alder House II - Are you amazed by the translucent beauty of blown glass? If so, this is the place for you! Here you can watch the artisans at Oregon’s oldest glass-blowing studio design their gorgeous glassware.

Chinook Winds Casino & Convention Center - Fun for everyone can be found here. You will find over 1,200 machines and tables, as well as casino games. There are 3 restaurants, a showroom where many well-known bands, comedians and country artist perform, a lounge an arcade for the and even childcare services.
